Anonymous: why would you switch up ruby and sapphires outfits? its gonna look so out of place and weird
I was so inspired in the last Gemanimate by how some people interpreted their shots with such creativity! The shots that stood out to me as my favourites were those who went and put their own twist on a simple piece, sometimes it was exaggerated animation techniques (which I had hurt myself time wise to accomplish this gemanimate) but others really played with the style of the show and still looked amazing!
I had played around with a few different ways to approach my scene in my sketchbook, from using my left hand to animate, to changing the style to look like another show. In the end I found that changing their clothes (but not their colours) to be something I could do the easiest whilst still being fun.
In regards to the ‘looking out of place’ concern, I don’t think it will. For every shot there’s a completely different style of animation and interpretation so it will constantly look new and fresh, just like the previous Gemanimate. Alongside everyones art style there’s 3D, traditional, and different animation programs galore making every shot look even more unique!
All in all, I’m looking forward to the final project! I think it’ll be amazing!

Guess who left their Gemanimate shot to the last minute?! This guy!
With a busy few months behind me I’ve finally submitted! I had so much more planned but had to keep it simple and closer to the main shot due to the time restraints I put on myself. Excited to see the final cut!

Today I found and downloaded a free animation app on my phone to entertain my train ride to work. Despite only having the free features and a bumpy ride I had fun wasting away the hour long trip!

Final inktober!
Wow I cant believe I got this far! Even on the days I didn’t post I still inked something and I feel acomplished!
Today I went for the inkiest substance I could, and a method I haven’t done at all this month to complete the final piece.
Now here’s hoping I stay in habit of inking every day! (Although I’ve run out of sketchbook)

Inktober number 29!!
I finished playing the Zen route of Mystic Messenger today! And panicked realising I forgot about inktober until late. Couldn’t find my markers- only watercolours- tried to use them differently today- completed an inktober!

Its already the 28th inktober!!
Today as I looked after the little ones at mothers group, the kids found my paints. Funnily though, instead of getting into them, they demand that I paint them a picture- and actually sat patiently and watched!
